Garcia Research Marks 15th Year in Business
with Two Awards

captures awards for management and entrepreneurship.
It’s been a busy past few weeks for Carlos E. Garcia,
founder of Garcia Research in Burbank, California, a marketing
research firm which specializes in qualitative, quantitative
and copy testing market research for the Latino market. On May
21st the company won top honors (under $5mm revenues) at the
Latin Business Association’s prestigious Sol Awards Gala
at the Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles. This past Wednesday,
June 15th, the San Fernando Valley Business Journal honored
Mr. Garcia with their Small Business Entrepreneur Award. These
Awards were given at the publication’s 9th Anniversary
Reception at the Universal Sheraton in Los Angeles.
The San Fernando Valley Business Journal event organizers stated
that “All Valley-area entrepreneurs being honored did
not rely on luck to get them where they are today. They took
ideas, action and fortitude and threw in plenty of hard work.
The result: they built great examples of successful small businesses,
which make our local economy thrive.”
Garcia Research, which is celebrating its 15th year in business,
is 100% Latino owned and operated. The founder and owner, Carlos
E. Garcia, was raised in East Los Angeles of Mexican immigrant
parents, and was educated at Pomona College and UC Berkeley.
